On 9 August 2017, on the occasion of the International Day of the Indigenous People, the Follereau Foundation will launch an outdoor thematic exhibition to learn about the world of indigenous peoples.

The exhibition “Discover the lives of indigenous people- Respect their rights- Adapt your behaviour” will take place from 9 August to 2 September 2017, each day from 6:00 to 22:00, at the Minett Park Fond-de-Gras.

The vernissage of the exhibition will be held on 9 August from 18:00 and entails a conference of the topic of “Indigenous peoples, human rights and protecting the environment”, to take place in the Fond-de-Gras’ Hall Paul-Wurth.

Invited speakers at the vernissage include Belkacem Lounes, an expert member of the Working Group for indigenous peoples at the African Commission for human rights and indigenous peoples, Sabine Schielmann, coordinator of the INFOE “Indigenous peoples and sustainable development” project, and Fabian Wagner, assistant campaigner for Survival International- Global movement for the rights of indigenous peoples.
