After the success of Anne’s Kitchen, the book and the twelve-part television series on RTL, Anne Faber is back with season 2 of Anne’s Kitchen debuting Friday 19 September on RTL and her second book will be out at the end of October.

The first season of Anne’s Kitchen focused on British inspired recipes and was all filmed in her London flat. She moved there 11 years ago, fell in love with the city and never left. This new season will however be a little different and inspiration will be sought from the culinary delights of Barcelona, Istanbul and Berlin and then back to her small kitchen flat for her recipes.

In collaboration with the British-Luxembourg Society and Little Britain on Wednesday 17 September, Anne took the time to talk about her experiences and how she came to have her own show and cook book. Stating one of her favourite quotes that holds true for her life so far “luck is when opportunity meets preparation”, Anne was a journalist and television producer for Associated Press and with a chance encounter with an old lecturer became a food and restaurant critic for Time Out Magazine.

She knew she always wanted to work with food and food photography so with the foundations of her blog and her recipes on it she approached RTL to commission a series. She then founded a production company in London and, with a six man crew, they created a Jamie Oliver style cookery programme for Luxembourg audiences. With her enthusiastic approach to presenting and her quirky style, Anne’s Kitchen has become a household name in Luxembourg. She has worked hard on her projects and concluded that “it’s been quite a journey but it’s been really really rewarding.”

The event at Little Britain also involved getting to taste some of the recipes from her first and second books which went down a treat. All the recipes from the new series will be available in English on the website www.anneskitchen.co.uk
