LuxTram has announced that it is starting a test phase of trial from today, Wednesday 12 July 2017.
The first tram will be tested from the platform in Kirchberg from 12 July until the end of October. For this, and for other tests and trials, the overhead cables will carry 750 volts continuously 24 hours a day.
In November, the trams are scheduled to travel for further trials along the city-Kirchberg route, without passengers.
The full service is scheduled to come into effect on 10 December 2017.
