On Saturday afternoon, the Environment Admninistration of Luxembourg's Ministry of Sustainable Development and Infrastructure confirmed that oxone levels across the Grand Duchy will remain high over the week-end but are expected to fall on Monday.

With the European threshold at 180 μg/m3, Friday saw 172 μg/m3 recorded at Esch-sur-Alzette. Saturday is expected to see ozone levels at around 170-190 μg/m3 as temperatures reach 38C.

While sunday's temperaatures are expected to drop to 34C, ozone levels are expected to reach a maximum of 170 μg/m3.

However, Monday is expected to see ozone levels drop to around 130 μg/m3 as maximum temperatures are expected to be around 26C.
