Pierre Gramegna, Luxembourg Minister of Finance, will travel to Japan and Hong Kong in the Far East, on a 6-day trip from Monday 9 January 2017.

In Tokyo, he will have a working meeting with Taro Aso, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, as well as with Yoshimasa Hayashi, President of the Japan-Luxembourg Friendship League of the Japanese Parliament. In addition, Minister Gramegna will participate in a conference organised by the Luxembourg Association of the Investment Fund Industry (ALFI) to promote the Luxembourg financial centre. He will also have meetings with key players in the financial world, as well as with Fintech companies.

On Thursday 12 January, Minister Gramegna, together with Pascal Saint-Amans, Director of the Centre for Tax Policy and Administration of the OECD, and Kentaro Ogata, Director of International Affairs at the Ministry of Finance of Japan, will participate in a conference entitled "BEPS and its Implications for Japanese Corporations - Luxembourg's approach in a European context".

In Hong Kong, Pierre Gramegna will hold working meetings with high-level representatives of local authorities. He will also visit the "Hong Kong SuperCharger Fintech Accelerator" and, on Friday 13 January 2017, will participate in a conference organised by ALFI in collaboration with the Hong Kong Investment Funds Association.
