From 12 to 14 February 2017, their Royal Highnesses the Hereditary Grand Duke and Duchess of Luxembourg and Minister of Finance, Pierre Gramegna, will undertake a financial mission in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

On the occasion of their financial mission to the UAE, a delegation of representatives from the finance sector will accompany Luxembourg’s Hereditary Grand Duke and Duchess and Minister of Finance. The aim of the mission is to promote the region’s financial centre and strengthen political and economic relations between the two countries.

In this context, Luxembourg for Finance is organising a seminar in Dubai on 13 February addressing financial professionals from the UAE.

The Hereditary Grand Duke and the Minister of Finance will also have work meetings with members of the royal family and government in Dubai and Abu Dhab, as well as interviewing senior financial sector officials in the region.

In addition, Pierre Gramegna will speak as keynote speaker at the World Government Summit 2017, during a session dedicated to Fintech. It will be introduced by Christine Lagarde, Director General of the International Monetary Fund.

The Hereditary Grand Duke and Duchess, along with the Minister of Finance, will also visit the Sultanate of Oman on 15 February 2017, where they will hold meetings with senior government and financial representatives, with the aim of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
