On Wednesday 26 April 2017, His Royal Highness the Grand Duke of Luxembourg was present at the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Mentor International Foundation in the Royal Palace of Stockholm.

This week, HRH the Grand Duke attended the meeting of the Mentor International Foundation, which works to prevent drug addiction among young people and of which he has been a member since its creation in 1994. The meeting was chaired by Queen Silvia of Sweden, co-founder of the Foundation.

Initiated in close collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), the Mentor International brings together key international non-governmental organisations working in the field of prevention of drug addiction among children and adolescents.

Since the Foundation's beginnings, projects have been carried out in more than eighty countries and support has been provided to millions of children and young people, as well as to more than fifty thousand parents, teachers and educators.

Particular attention is paid to the personal development of children and adolescents, with the main objective of developing their self-confidence and encouraging them to lead a healthy, drug-free life.
