The Environment Administration of the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Infrastructure has announced that there is a risk of exceeding the European Ozone threshold in Luxembourg of 180 µg par m³ due to the continuing rise in temperatures across the Grand Duchy.

Yesterday the oxone levels approached 160 μg/m3, with the weather stations at Beckerich and Beidweiler resoectively registering 159 and 158 μg/m3, as temperatures rose up to 32C.

When such limits are reached, traditionally maximum speed limits on motorways are restricted to 90 km/h.
