A woman reported seeing a dead body yesterday evening in the Moselle by Grevenmacher swimming pool.
The body was reportedly drifting downriver, and Grevenmacher police immediately called in assistance from police helicopters and fire engines to conduct a search.
Just under an hour later, the firefighters succeeded in pulling the supposed corpse from the river near a tanking area in Grevenmacher, which turned out to be a nearly two metre long catfish.
It is suspected that the fish had already been struck by the propellor of a boat along the river.
