Over the weekend, fire departments across Luxembourg put out several fires, the origins of which are thought to be suspicious.

On Saturday 25 July 2015, several objects were set fire to a former elderly person's home in the town of Soleuvre, resulting in thick clouds of heavy smoke permeating the vicinity. The local fire department arrived at the scene to put out the fire in the building, which was fortunately abandoned. Three people were reported to have been identified as possible links to the fire.

The following day, Sunday 26 July 2015, a second fire broke out along the bicycle path between Linger and Hautcharage. Youths set fire to the inside of a wooden shed along the path, which soon grew out of control. The local fire department was able to swiftly contain the fire, and the three young people involved were later written up.

The police have not commented on whether or not the two incidents are related.
