The internet has become a ‘must have’ for many people today, few go a day without going online for something or other and today, 9 February 2016, the world celebrates Safer Internet Day.

It is the twelfth time Safer Internet Day is celebrated and BEE SECURE, a collaboration between many organisations in Luxembourg to encourage a safer use of the internet, were ready with a series of events to help educate people and to mark this day.

The day’s motto was “play your part for a better Intenet” as some hundred children participated in the second edition of ‘DigiRallye’. Visitors could choose from several interactive stations and learn safer ways to use the internet.

In addition to this, several workshops were offered by the “Digital Privacy Salon” Hacker Space in Bonnevoie.

Radio Ara invited Michel Rodangen from the media class of the Lycée, who dedicated his words to the Safer Internet Day.
