The Grand Ducal Police have made a call for witnesses in connection with an act of vandalism which was committed in Ettelbrück on Monday evening.

The glass panes of bus shelters along Rue Jean-Antoine Zinnen, Place Marie-Adelaide and Rue du Deich were smashed, whilst damage was also done to an illuminated traffic sign between Place Marie-Adelaide and the roundabout.

A witness reported seeing a group of young people in flight following the incident, but was not able to give any kind of detailed description of the individuals involved. The Diekirch Police Department stated that their investigation has turned up little result and is therefore inconclusive.

As a result, the police are now asking witnesses to come forward with information regarding a group of young people hanging around near the bus shelter at 22.00 on Monday evening. Any relevant information should be relayed to the Diekirch Police Department at 4997-8500.
