Whilst a swollen river might be perfect for the annual Stréifrächen event which took place in Remich Wednesday, local police have now warned motorists of possible flooding in the municipality on Thursday following several days of strong winds and heavy rainfall.
The district police have advised all motorists who have parked their vehicles along the N10 between Remich and Stadtbredimus to pay careful attention to the high water level. According to the authorities, the risk of flooding in this area remains acute and drivers are therefore advised to move their cars to another location.
