Police are searching for witnesses with information related to a hit-and-run incident that occurred on Tuesday 2 February 2016 in Luxembourg City.

A pedestrian was reportedly attempting to cross a zebra crossing near the Emile Metz gymnasium along Rue de Beggen when a vehicle coming from the direction of Walferdange encroached on the crossing and slightly injured the pedestrian. The victim reported that he had been crossing on the green pedestrian light, indicating that the car in question should not have been attempting to drive past at that moment.

At the time, the pedestrian continued on his way and only reported the incident a few days later. The police have now launched an appeal for witnesses to the incident and have asked any individual with relevant information to contact 4997-4500.
