On Monday 11 April 2016, a member of the public was officially praised by police for his courage shown during a robbery earlier in the month.

On Tuesday 5 April 2016, a woman was attacked along avenue de la Liberté in Luxembourg City and had her mobile phone stolen. Christophe B., who was passing by, observed the incident take place and immediately rushed to the victim to help, before bravely chasing the offender all the way to rue Glesener in the Gare, holding him there until the police arrived on the scene. Thanks to this act of courage, the victim was handed back her stolen phone and the perpetrator brought to justice.

As a result, Christophe B. was rewarded with a gift in return for his selfless assistance from Daniel Back, Assistant Regional Directors, in the presence of Steve Goedert, in charge of Crime Prevention of the Luxembourg Police, at the Luxembourg Police Regional Directorate.
