On the occasion of World Milk Day on Wednesday 1 June 2016, the College of the Mayor and Alderman received representatives of the Lëtzebuerger Verband fir Molkereifachleit a Mëllechwirtschaftler (LVM).
The College was represented by Luxembourg City Mayor, Lydie Polfer; First Deputy Mayor, Sam Tanson; Simone Beissel; Colette Mart; and Patrick Goldschmidt.
The LVM used the opportunity to hand out an assortment of dairy products.
World Milk Day was first established by the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) of the United Nations (UN) and is recognised annually on 1 June to highlight the importance of milk as a global food.
