Residents along rue de Hollerich in Luxembourg-Gare had a narrow escape on Friday evening after a fire broke out in a multi-storey building shortly before 22:00.
Rue de Hollerich was completely blocked off whilst firefighters brought the fire under control.
All residents of the building were able to escape to safety in time. An adjacent building was evacuated as a precaution. An elderly person was treated on an outpatient basis.
The cause of the fire is reportedly still unknown.
