On Tuesday 19 July 2016, the Director of Defence, Patrick Heck, swore in three officers and a commissioned officer of the Luxembourg army at their headquarters in Diekirch.
Resulting from an indirect recruitment campaign, three officers attended a series of training courses for candidate officers seeking a military career, at the Royal Military Academy in Brussels (149th Promotion) between August 2009 and July 2014. They graduated with a Masters in social and military sciences.
The commissioned officer holds a computer doctorate in "Conceptual Approaches for Securing Networks and Systems" and is assistant to the officer corps with the title of captain. She was engaged from 1 February 2016 as a research fellow, head of cyber cell, at the "information and military communication systems" office at the Luxembourg army.
