The Luxembourg Red Cross calls for donations to the affected families of the floods in the east of Luxembourg.

Following the floods caused by the weather on Friday 22 July 2016, many residents of the east of Luxembourg have been affected. While the emergency services are in the process of arranging for aid, the Luxembourg Red Cross and Caritas Luxembourg calls on all residents of Luxembourg to express their solidarity and provide economic assistance to the affected families.

As the situation could jeopardize potential holiday plans this summer, the two organizations offer 30 places for the children of the most affected families to camp.

People who need help and who wish to contact the Red Cross, should address the ‘social helpline’ of the organisation, call tel. 2755 or email info@croix-rouge.lu

For holiday places available to children, interested families can apply directly to the “Service Vacances” on tel. 2755-6202 or email vacances@croix-rouge.lu

For any request for help to Caritas Luxembourg, please contact tel. 40 21 31-1 or email caritas@caritas.lu and for holiday stays, email info@youngcaritas.lu
