On Friday 23 September 2016, Luxembourg's Secretary of State for Defence, Francine Closener, inaugurated the new information office of the Army, located at 15 Boulevard Royal in Luxembourg City.

Aimed primarily at young people, this new physical home structure is a central information point that provides those interested with information on the military in general, its missions, career offers, recruitment procedures and career opportunities for volunteer soldiers after their military commitment.

At the official opening, Secretary of State Closener, said "Our new presence in Boulevard Royal is part of the measures already taken to make the actual recruitment, as the course offered from the school year at the Lycée Technique d'Ettelbruck and to prepare youth for the written and physical tests for admission to voluntary service. The information office is intended to complement the military promotion efforts among young people so that ultimately the army continues to have the necessary personnel to perform their many national and international missions."

The information office of the army is open Monday to Friday from 09:00 - 18:00. See www.armee.lu.
