Luxembourg's Ministry of Culture, represented by Secretary of State Guy Arendt, and the Ville de Luxembourg, represented by Mayor Lydie Polfer, have presented the new management team of the Luxembourg Agency for cultural Action.

Appointed in July by the Board of Directors, Luc Wagner has, since 15 September 2016, assumed the responsibility of the management of the agency, supported by Conny Schneider, Deputy Director. The new management team succeeds Luc Henzig, the Acting Director during the last 12 months.

The Luxembourg Agency for Cultural Action was founded in March 1996 by the Ville de Luxembourg and the Ministry of Culture, the Luxembourg Agency for Cultural Action a.s.b.l. and was created in response to the good co-operation experienced in the context of "Luxembourg, European City of Culture 1995". The missions of the Agency, defined by the constitution and the various conventions, give it a role of stimulation, coordination, and organisation at cultural activities.

The Agency has, in recent years, become an interface between public authorities and cultural actors, and between different ministries and local authorities, including in the Greater Region, especially through the Plurio.net project (Culture and Tourism) and the national ticketing network (Ministry of Culture and City of Luxembourg / municipal cultural centres).
