As part of the renovation, including restructuring work, of the Pont Adolphe in Luxembourg city centre, the Administration des ponts et chaussées has announced today that the return to service will not take place in December as originally planned.

Due to unfavourable weather, with low temperatures and abundant rainfall in recent weeks, it has been impossible to seal the pedestrian and cyclist access tunnel.

In view of the interruption of work due to the collective holiday in December and January, for a three-week period, the Administration des ponts et chaussées is therefore left with no other alternative but to postpone the date for re-opening the bridge to traffic during the month of February 2017.
