The Prime Minister of the Republic of Estonia, Jüri Ratas, will pay a working visit to Luxembourg on Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 June 2017.

Jüri Ratas will be welcomed by the Prime Minister, Minister of State, Xavier Bettel, for an interview at the Hotel de Bourgogne. He will also be received at the Mansfeld building by the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Jean Asselborn.

Discussions will focus on bilateral relations as well as major issues of European political news. During the visit, an agreement between the Republic of Estonia and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg on the installation of a "digital embassy" in Luxembourg will be signed.

Jüri Ratas will also meet the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Mr Mars Di Bartolomeo, and will exchange views with members of the Bureau, the Conference of Presidents, and the Committee on Foreign and European Affairs, Defence, Cooperation and Immigration.

In addition, the head of the Estonian government will be received in audience by HRH the Grand Duke at the Grand-Ducal Palace.

The programme will also feature a visit to the EBRC Datacenter in Betzdorf, which specialises in the management of electronic trusted services and a visit to SES and its satellite control centre.

At the end of the evening, on the occasion of Ieoh Ming Pei's 100th birthday, the two Prime Ministers will attend a conference organized by his son and architect, Chien Chung Pei, at the MUDAM. The conference will be followed by a dinner at which the hereditary Grand Duchess, President of the Board of MUDAM, will also participate.
