On Wednesday morning shortly before 09:00, a resident of Rodange heard dog barking. He watched as two dogs attack a sheep from the meadow behind the house on rue du Clopp. After he managed to drive the dogs away, he realised that the dogs had attacked two sheep.

The resident informed the police who have issued an appeal for information on the dogs which are described as follows:

- Dog 1: approximately knee-high, with a short black coat with white spots, probably Mischling

- Dog 2: approximately waist-height, with long shaggy brown fur (similar to a Golden Retriever), but probably a mongrel

The Police in Pétange have asked people in the vicinity who can provide information about the origin of the dogs, to contact them on tel: 2445-6201 or tel: 113.
