On 28 February 2017, the Luxembourg Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Economy, Etienne Schneider, visited the Luxembourg Stock Exchange (LuxSE).

The purpose of Minister Schneider’s official visit to the LuxSE was to become acquainted with the latter’s current activities, especially with regards to the recent launch of the Luxembourg Green Exchange (LGX). LuxSE is the world leader in the listing of green bonds.

Following the presentation, the Minister of the Economy and his delegation, formed by Tom Theves (Chief of Staff) and Daniel Da Cruz (Directorate General of Foreign Trade and Investments), visited the markets and surveillance department, the LuxSE’s IT surveillance centre, and Fundsquare, the Exchange’s subsidiary.

During this tour, they received explanations on the functioning of the modern stock exchange.

The Deputy Prime Minister and his delegation were received by Frank Wagener, Chairman of the Board, Robert Scharfe, CEO, and other members of the LuxSE Executive Committee.
