Consumer confidence in Luxembourg stabilised in February this year according to figures released by the Banque Centrale de Luxembourg that measure the level of optimism consumers express about the performance of the economy, including their concerns about unemployment, general household financial position and ability to save.

This means that consumer confidence is maintaining the broadly upward trend followed since at least 2013. At the same time, household debt relative to GDP is at a ten-year high of almost 60%, and household debt relative to income also stands at a high of 142.9%.

The data was provided by the Banque Centrale de Luxembourg with the support of the European Commission.
