On 26 August 2015, Luxembourg Health Minister Lydia Mutsch welcomed new Chinese ambassador to Luxembourg, Huang Changqing, who was appointed to the position on 1 July this year.
Minister Mutsch presented to the Ambassador the various facts of the health system in the Grand Duchy, including objectives to ensure quality health care to the entire population, reporting that it is now one of the most comprehensive systems in the world.
The two figures also spoke of challenges to the health sector, such as combatting pandemics and developing prevention procedure and treatments for non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
Lydia Mutshc and Huang Changqing also met to examine bilateral relations and potential trade between the two countries they represent, particularly in the fields of health and education, as well as on topics of public interest.
