On 2 September 2015, Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO), Jens Stoltenberg, will be in Luxembourg on an official visit to discuss current issues in transatlantic security.

The former Prime Minister of Norway will reportedly be welcomed to the Grand Duchy with military honours and will be greeted by Prime Minister, Minister of State, Xavier Bettel at Place Clairefontaine in Luxembourg City.

The two politicians will then be joined by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence Étienne Schneider, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Jean Asselborn and Minister of Justice, Félix Braz, for a working lunch, where discussions will determine the status of current transatlantic security and political situations on both a European and international level, as well as the priorities of the Luxembourg Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Jens Stoltenberg will also partake of a meeting with Minister Asselborn and a reception with His Royal Highness the Grand Duke at the Grand Ducal Palace.

In addition, the Secretary General will receive the opportunity to engage with members of the Luxembourg delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in the Chamber of Deputies.
