On Monday 30 November 2015, the Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe, will pay an official visit to Luxembourg.

He will be welcomed with military honours by the Prime Minister and Minister of State, Xavier Bettel, at the Place Clairefontaine. The official reception will follow the presentation of the delegations.

The two leaders are scheduled to meet to discuss bilateral relations, matters related to international issues such as the fight against terrorism, climate change and the ongoing work under the Luxembourg Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The Prime Minister of Japan will also have an audience with HRH Grand Duke at the Grand Ducal Palace. He will also meet with President of the Chamber of Deputies, Mars Di Bartolomeo, before a state dinner at the Chateau de Senningen to close the official visit, the guests of which will also include Luxembourg's Deputy Prime Minister, Etienne Schneider, Minister of Justice, Felix Braz, and Finance Minister, Pierre Gramegna.
