On Friday 15 April 2016, Luxembourg will receive the Chinese State Councillor, Yang Jiechi, for a working visit.
Mr. Jiechi will be greeted at Hôtel Saint-Maximin for a meeting with Luxembourg Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Jean Asselborn, before being received at the Hôtel de Bourgogne by the Prime Minister, Minister of State, Xavier Bettel.
The latter meeting will be followed by a working lunch, where the two politicians will be joined by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Economy, Étienne Schneider, and the Minister of Sustainable Development and Infrastructure, François Bausch. Discussions will focus on relations between Luxembourg and China as well as Sino-European relations. International politics will also be on the agenda.
Yang Jiechi will additionally be received in audience by HRH the Grand Duke at the Grand Ducal Palace, with a meeting with the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Mars di Bartolomeo, also planned.
