Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Jean Asselborn, will be in Brussels today to attend the meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers.

Chaired by NATO Secretary-General, Jens Stoltenberg, the ministerial meeting will take stock of the challenges faced by the Alliance and address preparations for the Warsaw Summit to be held on 8 and 9 July 2016.

Ministers will primarily focus on stability beyond the borders of the Alliance, before considering the support that NATO could supply in the Mediterranean region.

Those present will also focus on NATO's relations with Russia, as well as the Alliance's policy in the eastern neighbourhood.

The ministerial session will also present an opportunity for Montenegro to sign the country's accession protocol to NATO.
