Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Luxembourg, Jean Asselborn, is in Bratislava today for a working visit at the invitation of Slovak Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Miroslav Lajčák.

Jean Asselborn is expected to meeth with Minister Lajčák during his visit, as well as Deputy Prime Minister for Investments, Peter Pellegrini, President of the Slovak Parliament, Andrej Danko, Vice President Martin Glvac and members of various parliamentary committees, including the Committee for European Affairs.

The visit of Minister Asselborn to Bratislava precedes the Slovak Presidency of the Council of the European Union, which will begin on 1 July 2016 following the cessation of the current Dutch Presidency. Discussions will take stock of the priorities of the incoming Presidency and will present an opportunity to share experiences from the Luxembourg Presidency, which was held in the second half of 2015.

Discussions will also provide an overview of mahor issues in European and international political events, in addition to bilateral relations, to examine the latest developments in migration.
