On Monday 4 July 2016, the governments of Luxembourg and Belgium will meet for a joint session at the Domaine de la Gaichel.

Under the chairmanship of respective Prime Ministers Xavier Bettel and Charles Michel, the two governments will review bilateral issues in the fields of energy, transport, health, home affairs, justice, defence, the economy, labour and employment, social security, agriculture, taxation and scientific research and policy.

The agenda will also feature discussions of major issues in European and international politics, including the consequences of the UK's referendum on membership in the EU.

On the occasion of this meeting, Luxembourg Minister of Health, Lydia Mutsch, Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Employment, the Economy and Consumers, Kris Peeterts, and Minister of Energy, the Environment and Sustainable Development, Marie Christine Marghem, will proceed with the signing of an agreement on the final management and disposal of radioactive waste from Luxembourg on Belgian territory.
