Today, Friday 5 August 2016, Luxembourg’s Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Jean Asselborn, is in Liechtenstein to attend a meeting for Ministers of Foreign Affairs of German-speaking countries.

Minister Asselborn will attend the meeting in Liechtenstein following the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs in Liechtenstein, Aurelia Frick. The meeting will also involve the Minister of Foreign Affairs in Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the Minister of Foreign Affairs in Austria, Sebastian Kurz, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs in Switzerland, Didier Burkhalter.

The scope of the meeting is to take stock of the major topical European issues, such as the European security policy and migration. The ministers will also touch upon international issues, including the situations in the Middle East, Ukraine and in Turkey. The ministers will also discuss further the cooperation of the five countries at the UN and the OSCE.
