Prime Minister Xavier Bettel, will next week meet Michel Barnier, former Commissioner and former French government minister, who is chief negotiator in charge of the working group of the European Commission responsible for Brexit. M. Barnier will be in charge of the preparation and negotiations with the United Kingdom when they activate Article 50 of the Treaty on European Union, the first stage of departure from the Union.
The meeting will take place on 24 October 2016, at the Hotel de Bourgogne.
