Luxembourg's Ministry of Finance and Ministry of State have announced that Suma Chakrabarti, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), will visit Luxembourg next Wednesday, 1 February 2017.

Luxembourg's Prime Minister and Minister of State, Xavier Bettel, will receive Suma Chakrabarti for a meeting at his offices at the Hotel de Bourgogne. Suma Chakrabarti will also have the opportunity to meet with Finance Minister Pierre Gramegna, who holds the position of Chairman of the Board of Governors of the EBRD.

The discussions will focus on relations between the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the EBRD and on the preparations for the annual meeting of the EBRD governors, to be chaired by Finance Minister Pierre Gramegne. The meeting will take place in Cyprus during May.

In addition, the two presidents will attend a seminar organised in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce on the topic of "Investing with BERD, how the bank could support your endeavors in our countries of operations".
