At the invitation of Prime Minister of the People's Republic of China Li Keqiang, Prime Minister Xavier Bettel is going to the People's Republic of China from 11 to 14 June 2017, accompanied by Minister of Development Sustainability and Infrastructure François Bausch, and Finance Minister Pierre Gramegna. 

The Luxembourg delegation will travel to Beijing on 11, 12 and 14 June and Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province, on 13 June.

As part of his official visit, the Head of Government of Luxembourg will be welcomed by the President of the People's Republic of China and Secretary General of the Communist Party of China, Xi Jinping.

He will also have an interview with the Prime Minister of the People's Republic of China, Li Keqiang, at the Great People's Palace in Beijing.

The talks will focus on bilateral political, economic, financial and cultural relations, relations between China and the European Union, as well as major international political issues. 2017 marked the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Luxembourg.
