Luxembourg’s minister of labour, employment and social and solidarity economy, Nicolas Schmit, decorated Professor Jean-Louis Reiffers, professor of economics at the University of Aix / Marseille, honorary dean and creator of the “second chance schools” of insignia of Officer of the Order of Merit of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
Professor Reiffers is also the source of the European Commission's White Paper on Education and Training on "Teaching and Learning: Towards a Cognitive Society".
He was closely involved in the development of a European project for the Luxembourg Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2015 on youth employment and training in the Maghreb countries.
