Frankfurt-Hahn appears to have carried its growth trend from last year into 2016, with the Airport reporting Thursday that passenger traffic increased 11% in January compared with 2015.

More than 167,000 passengers flew over Hunsrück-Airport in the first month of 2016, yielding a double digit growth year-over-year for the airport.

"I see Hahn is on the right track and I am comvinced that we still have potential for further growth," commented John Kohlsaat, Head of Sales at Frankfurt-Hahn, who will be looking to expand the airport's offer which currently holds 50 destinations as part of its summer programme through airlines Ryanair, Wizz Air and SunExpress. "There are still may 'white spots' on the map."

Frankfurt-Hahn Airport will aim to continue this upward trajectory in passenger numbers throguh its presence at the travel trave show ITB Berlin in March 2016.

"The appointment with business partners have already been confirmed and the feedback is positive," continue Kohlsaat. "The figures show that we have been recognised as an international airport amongst tourists and business travellers."

Representatives of the airport will also be available for questions at Booth 42 of the 'Touristik Koblenz' fair from 20-21 February 2016 and at Booth 4BTW40 in Hall 4 at the 'Touristikwelt Mainz' fair from 18-20 March 2016.
