From February to June 2017, Luxair Luxembourg Airlines will be holding several seminars to help members of the public overcome their fear of flying, with one week-end seminar to be held in English for the first time.

Spread over two days, each seminar series will feature a team of experts, including a psychologist specialising in the subject, as well as Luxair crew members to help small groups who are affected by the anxiety of air travel. The sessions will be held on the following dates:

- Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 February 2017 (in German and Luxembourgish)
- Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 March 2017 (in French and Luxembourgish)
- Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 April 2017 (in ENGLISH and Luxembourgish)
- Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 May 2017 (in German and Luxembourgish)
- Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 June 2017 (in French and Luxembourgish)

Luxair have been offering these types of seminars for over 25 years, employing evolving methodology and techniques over time. According to the companys, their seminars have experienced a satisfaction rate of 94%.

The key to the process appears to be awareness, with seminars consisting of technical explanations of the operation of the aircraft and weather conditions, as well as a tour of the cockpit enabling participants to familiarise themselves with the taking-off and landing procedures. Participants are constantly supervised by specialists on the subject, who have continued to develop their knowledge and expertise through conferences such as the World Conference on Fear of Flying, and are present to offer rational explanations to participants' questions.

For further information or to join one of the groups, contact the LuxairGroup at aviophobie@luxair.lu. The participation fee is €650 and includes documentation, two lunches with drinks as well as a return flight on Sunday to a Luxair Luxembourg Airlines destination. A certificate of participation is awarded at the end of the seminar.
