Luxair Luxembourg Airlines has announced that passengers will be able to avail of increased free baggage allowance on all flights purchased on or after today.
The new allowances are 23kg for economy passengers, 3kg more than previously, while business class passengers can check in two pieces of luggage with a combined weight of 32kg.
Economy passengers are also entitled to take on one piece of on-board baggage weighing up to 8kg and one small personal item, while business class travellers can bring on board two pieces up to 8kg each, and one small personal item.
The new baggage appliances will apply to flights taking off after 27 April 2017.
Restrictions apply in some cases, such as LuxairTours Holiday packages.
Baggage allowances for Miles & More members and BCEE card holders change according to their status.
Flat-rate fees apply to excess baggage. €50 will be charged to economy baggage that exceeds 23kg up to a maximum of 32kg. Baggage weighing more than 32kg will need to be transported as freight or a second baggage needs to be purchased for €75.
