Following the launch of the direct route to Dublin on 30 March 2014, Luxair has operated six flights weekly; the airline is now increasing capacity for its winter schedule, and other destinations may follow too.

The increase in capacity is down to the airline's new Bombardier Q400 which has been delivered and had been expected to enter service in October 2017 after being fully equipped and branded, etc. - bookings on the Luxair website for the new schedule are from 18 September. The Luxair fleet will then total 11 Bombardier Q400, 2 Boeing 737-700 and 4 Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

The current 6 weekly flights to Dublin leave Luxembourg on Monday-Friday at around 11:50 and takes just over 2 hours to get to Dublin; the return flight leaves the Irish capital around 13:45 and returns shortly before 17:00. On Sunday, the flight departs Luxembourg at 17:50 with the return flight departing Dublin at 19:45, returning to base at around 22:50.

The additional week-day flights will be late afternoon leaving Luxembourg; the new schedule (from 18 September) is as follows:

Weekdays - LUX - DUB 11:50 - 13:10 - LUX - DUB 17:25 - 18:45

- DUB - LUX 13:45 - 16:50 - DUB - LUX 19:25 - 22:30

The Week-end schedule remains as it is, with one flight on Sunday.

- LUX - DUB 17:30 - 18:50

- DUB - LUX 19:25 - 22:30

As each plane is normally used four times daily when in operation, other destinations can expect to also benefit from the expansion of Luxair's fleet.
