A partnership signed on Friday 1 April 2016 between the National Paralympic Committees (NPC) of Rwanda and Luxembourg will see the two institutions collaborate to develop sports for people with physical disabilities.
According to Rwandan news agency The New Times, Luxembourg will be on the lookout for talented Rwandan athletes, with a select few due to attend high-level training camps in the Grand Duchy as well as receive training in their home country. 27-year-old Paralympian Hermas Cliff Muvunyi is expected to arrive in Luxembourg this June in preparation for the Rio Paralympics Games in Brazil.
"The partnership will be focused on fostering technical assistance and training camps in Luxembourg, this kind of partnership will help us to develop sports for people with physical disabilities," commented NPC president, Celestin Nizeyimana, following the signing ceremony.
