Ever wanted to try Nordic walking but haven't had the chance? Or maybe basketball or kayaking or cycling, but just couldn't get organised or motivated enough. Well, now's your chance? The Ministry of Sports, in cooperation with the Luxembourg Olympic and Sports Committee (COSL), is relaunching the "Fitness Pass", an initiative aimed at getting people out of their ruts and into something new.

Originally launched in 2000, the “Fitness Pass” organises and promotes several participatory sports events to give people the opportunity to try out a new experience (with perhaps a little less stress than showing up for regularly scheduled trainings).

This year, the campaign kicks off with a National Basketball Day in Dudelange, which will be followed up with events focused on football, kayaking, triathlon, city jogging, Nordic-walking and  cycling. Anyone who attends three events and has them marked on their fitness pass can submit it to the Ministry of Sports in October to be eligible for a prize-giving.

The Fitness Pas will be distributed at the events, or can be requested from the Ministry of Sports, Division du sport-loisir, Boîte postale 180, L-2011 Luxembourg, or spolo@sp.etat.lu.
