On Saturday 24 September 2016 from 13:00 until 16:00, Special Olympics Luxembourg are organising a walk in collaboration with Section de Marche from FC Tricolore Gasperich-Millewee.

The event will be held in honour of Eunice Kennedy-Shriver, the founder of Special Olympics world-wide. Special Olympics Luxembourg is a member federation that organises sport activities for people with intellectual disabilities andis a member of the Comité olympique et sportif luxembourgeois (C.O.S.L.) and acknowledged by the Ministry of Sports. The federation is mainly volunteer-based, and offers regular training courses and national and international sporting events across ten different disciplines for around 400 children, adolescents and adults.

Members of the public wre welcome to participate in the walk and can choose either the 5km or 11km route. The walk’s start and end point is the Parish Centre on rue de Gasperich, in Luxembourg-Gasperich.
