From Friday 21 to Sunday 23 April 2017 the Curling Club Luxembourg held its 42nd Friendly Cup.

14 teams with participants from 11 different countries went head to head for the coveted trophy, which was eventually taken by the Besançon team.

As the last-year winners (Luxembourg-Hansen) are preparing for the European Championships in early May in Prague, this year’s new winner will enter the competition.

Team Luxembourg played with Karn'BoysS (Marco Etienne, Karen Wauters, François Panunzi and Frank Yünlü) and Remnants(Dan Kelly, Gregor Graham, Claude Schweitzer, Barry Foulds).

In addition, Alex and Susi Benoy played with their Swiss friends in the Schwyletz team and Jörg Moeser and Yves Sieradzki with their Frankfurt friends in the Broombastic team.

The final took place on Sunday 23 April when Besançon defeated Broombastic.
