Alter Domus was recently hosted its second edition of ‘Afterwork Cycling Tuesdays’ which took place in Luxembourg on 16 and 30 June respectively.
A group of brave cyclists took to the road with top Luxembourgish riders Tom Flammang and some promising young cyclists from the Leopard Development Team, teammates Tom Wirtgen and Pit Schechter. The professional riders guided participants through a circuit that included the beautiful scenery of the Moselle valley, providing a great opportunity for the company's talented cyclists to test themselves with some of the best riders out there.
Despite the exceptionally hot conditions and a gruelling 50 km circuit, the group of 20+ strong riders were able to push themselves to new limits and thoroughly enjoyed the challenge as expressed by one of the participants. “I thoroughly enjoyed (sort of!) what was my second bike ride of the year, that is the flat and downhill parts of the route. As expected, the camaraderie of the riders was great and so was the post ride meal and chat.”
As alluded to, the event would not have been complete without a well-deserved dinner at La Duchessa restaurant and the opportunity to reflect on a successful achievement, added to the strong sense of friendship and encouragement demonstrated by the riders throughout the events. The company is looking forward to seeing more participants at next year’s event.
