On Friday evening, Luxembourg hosted Bosnia-Herzegovina in a friendly football international match at the Stade Josy Barthel on Route d'Arlon.

The teams had met on four previous occasions, with the Red Lions (Luxembourg) losing on all four occasions. This match was to be no different; however, with three quarters of that match played, a draw seemed to be on the cards.

Refereed by Jonathan Lardot, the game saw the visitors pick holes in the home defence to score three goals in the game's final quarter - Maxine Chanot 73' (o.g.), Milan Djuric 75', Miralem Pjanic 90'.

Following the own goal, Boznia's other goals came from a right footed shot from the centre of the box to the bottom right corner by Milan Djuric, and an almost identical one at the death, score by Miralem Pjanic.

Luxembourg: Anthony Moris; Maxine Chanot; Laurent Jans; Stefano Bensi (sub. Daniel Da Mota Alves); Lars Gerson; Aurelien Joachim (sub. David Turpel); Ricardo Delgado (sub. Tom Schnell); Chris Philipps (sub. Ben Payal); Kevin Malget; Mario Mutsch (sub. Vincent Thill); Christopher Martins Pereira (Maurice Deville)

Luxembourg's next matches sees them play Albania (friendly), Bulgaria (away, 6 September 2016; 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifier) and Sweden (home, 7 October 2016; 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifier).
