Following their narrow 1-0 loss at home to Sweden on Thursday, Luxembourg were away to Belarus on Monday evening and came away with a highly credible draw in their latest FIFA World Cup Qualifying Group A encounter.

After the home side took the lead in the 80th minute with a looping header scored by Savitski, Luxembourg's Aurelien Joachim levelled the scores just five minutes later, courtesy of a deflected free kick. For the second game in succession, they had a man sent off, this time playing the second 45 minutes with just ten men after Dirk Carlson was sent off on 44 minutes for a second bookable offence.

At the end of the match, the Luxembourg players and officials were jubilant, after earning just their eighth draw in 126 World Cup Qualifier games - they have also won four in total over the years.

the Luxembourg line-up saw two changes fro the side that had faced Sweden. Daniel Da Mota and Ricardo Delgado took the places of Maurice Deville and the suspended Kevin Malget.
