On Sunday 11 September 2016, ATC and CrossFit 7 Castles hosted, under the LuxStrength initiative, Luxembourg’s first ever Strongman Contest.

There was a positive turnout with 12 participants and a roaring crowd. To win the eternal glory - LuxStrength Strongman 2016 1st edition Title and Trophy - the athletes undertook a total of 6 Strongman Tests:

- Farmerswalks
- Slam Ball shoulder lifts
- Slam Ball - throws over high bar.
- Yoke Walk
- Sled Pull
- Log lifts (men) / Fat Bar clean&press (ladies)

With one men's group and one women's group - no further weight or age groups – all men had to lift the same weights and all women had to lift the same amount of weights.

After registration and an intense group warmup session, the athletes were able to test out each station and compete on each event to determin the ranking.

The Scoring:
- Tests are either maxreps in certain time or distance in fastest time.
- If distance cannot be made in time - meters made will be recorded.
- Winner of a test gets max point (equals the amount of contenders), place 2 gets 1 point less etc.
- In case of identical results the points for those positions get added up and divided among the people with same result.
- In end result ex-equo situation, the person with best placements wins.
- Not able not make 1 meter or 0 reps means zero points for that event
- The monitors of the tests have the right to call the test "technical over" - if the person is bringing himself in danger - health and safety first.

The winners were Steffi Weiskopf (Ladies) and Urs Wirth (Men).
